HISTORY The first Parador de Turismo, founded in Gredos in the province of Avila, was opened by King Alfonso XIII seventy years ago. This was for various reasons: in order to promote the Sierra de Gredos region and its hunting riches, to provide a hotel facility in the area and to lay the foundations for a modern Spanish hotel infrastructure. |
